New Series Announcement + More Stretch Goals!

Morphinomenal!!! It’s the end of the work week here at BOOM! Studios HQ (aka The Comic Command Center) and we couldn’t be more excited or amazed at how POWER RANGER fans have embraced this BOOM! Direct Reserve campaign. Collectively, nearly 1,200 fans have reserved nearly $450,000 in tiers and add-ons. Wow!
As we mentioned in our first update, you unlocked our third Stretch Goal (in less than 24 hours) – a brand new POWER RANGERS series announcement! And it’s a big one, fellow Ranger fans, because none other than Amy Jo Johnson, known the world over as Kimberly Hart – the original Pink Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, has signed on to co-write a special POWER RANGERS series.
We are so thrilled as we’ve known Amy since the early days of our publishing POWER RANGERS and have had the honor of her writing an introduction to our Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Pink collections and signing books for both this campaign and our first POWER RANGERS campaign. So when Amy told us she had an idea for a POWER RANGERS story she wanted to tell in comic books, we leapt (no, literally, like a Power Ranger jumping into combat with the Putties) at the chance to publish it! Joining Amy will be co-writer, Matt Hotson. While many of the details of this new series are still top secret, you can read more about it on Variety.
Let’s keep this amazing momentum going and unlock our $500,000 Stretch Goal! For our first POWER RANGERS campaign, we commissioned an amazing POWER RANGERS “jam” art print by artists Daniele di Nicuolo, Simone Di Meo, and Walter Baiamonte, the art team behind Shattered Grid and Beyond The Grid and had all three of them sign it.
We still have a limited quantity of these BOOM! Direct Reserve art prints available and are going to make them available through this BOOM! Direct Reserve campaign. When we reach $500,000, we will add a limited quantity of the POWER RANGERS Signed Jam Art Prints as an add-on for $75. Additionally, anyone who reserves Tiers 6-9 will automatically receive one of these prints with their tier for FREE.
Speaking of Add-Ons, we’ve heard you and are making individual Slipcased Editions of Power Rangers Archives Book One, Power Rangers Archives Book Two, and Power Rangers Lost Chronicles Book One available for order for $125 each. This Add-On will include both the hardcover and slipcase, so if you’ve previously added a single hardcover without a slipcase, and want the slipcase, you’ll need to remove the regular hardcover and add this instead. We’ve also added a “Single POWER RANGERS 30 Slipcased Deluxe Hardcover” tier for $125 to the campaign, which will allow you to pick one of the Slipcased Hardcovers during the survey period.
